Summer Vacation?

Yes I know how silly is it that I'm just now getting around to writing about our wonderful summer vacation? Well our internet provider has been so lame it's been really hard to get on. We've gone through three recievers and this one is acting up a little too. I don't know what it is. Anyway less about them more about me!!! Well this summer our big vacation was to the Oregon coast with Robs family. We had so much fun I hope we do another family vacation next year!! On the way down Rob and I wanted to take our time because we couldn't get into the beach house until like 2 or 3:00 so we took the boys to Multnoma Falls (I hope that's spelled right!) The boys thought it was awesome!! I love watching them get excited about things that they see for the first time!! They were so patient with me while I made them pose. (It's not like it was hard I only took a million pictures). It was a beautiful day so we hiked up to the bridge and took the boys across. I love that they are old enouph now so taht they can all walk or in their case run everywhere we go. Strollers are such a bother sometimes. . .but not when you want to keep them nailed down to something.

We went to the gift shop after the hike for a potty break and the penny machine. We had to buy the boys pennies because we promised if they would go in the tree stump for a picture (which they were terrified of doing)that we would get them "special" money! Sorry the pics are kinda blurry Rob wouldn't hold still for me to take a pic he wanted to get out of the gift shop. They picked me flowers along the trail too so they got in the picture as well so I could keep them forever!!Well that does it for the first installment of our trip more to come and lots more pics!

Jakob's First Day of School!!

Jakob's first day of school this year was still hard for me... i think that maybe it will be like this every year on the first day. Knowing that he would be there all day and that my time with him each day will be cut in half, well that was sad for me. Jakob is now a head and shoulders shorter then all the kids in his class but you wouldn't know it by talking to him. He doesn't care at all that he is the shortest.

This is a picture of Jakob at breakfast. My mom came over to watch the two little boys while I took Jakob to school. Parents were invited on the first day and the teacher talked to us about what to expect out of the class room. Jakob wanted to take his lunch on the first day so I made his lunch, grilled cheese sandwhich with grapes fruit snacks and a juice box.MMMMM!!!!

He was very patient with me while i had him pose for each picture. Of coarse I had to get one of him with a number one held up for first grade.

Jakob at his desk at school. Isn't he so cute!!! i just want to squeeze him!

See what I mean about his size:)

After a long day of school! He is growing up so fast and is so smart sometimes I wonder how i got so lucky!! He is a sweet boywhats not to love!!

finally Internet!!

For the past couple of months we have had some Internet trouble but now i can catch all of u bloggers up on whats happened in the Burch house!! I am so excited to finally post I don't know where to start. I guess I'll start with all the time we've spent outside this summer it was so fun now that all the kids are walking and discovering things for themselves. These pictures are of one night when we first moved into our house. . .the boys got loose outside without their clothes on they were so cute i had to take some pics!! This one of Zakry wearing his older brothers shoes is pretty cute!! Even though it isn't a very good picture it kinda shows what Mikah decided to wear. Undies that are on backwards with socks and yes, those are flip flops! (two different flip flops!!) He is so funny!!

Of coarse you cant play outside without looking for bugs!! Jakob found some great bugs for his bug catcher(although he wouldn't touch them to put them in it. . . mom had to do that part. What we won't do for our children right?)
