Halloween!!

I was completly excited for halloween this year and thought that I would "get it all done early" this year. Ha ha!! I did good with the decorating and getting the boys treat bags for their classes ready, but when it came to costumes I was scrambling again.  Thanks to my mom we pulled it all out and the costumes trurned out great!!!  They were sooo cute!  It was sock monkeys this year for the boys and Nacho Libre and Encarnacion ( I guess thats how you spell it I have no idea:)) for Rob and I.  I also made the boys halloween vests with my mom and bow ties since halloween was on a sunday this year.  So glad that I did, everyone loved them!  I'll get better pictures of the boys costumes and mine and Robs on here soon!

My Garden

It's been really fun and rewarding to have a garden this year.  I'm still getting all kinds of veggies from it but I'm already planning on what to do different next year to make it better!!  My kids love to go out and help me pick, they climb through the towering tomatoes and pick through the prickly cucumbers.  Their hands get sticky and their shoes get muddy, but the smile on their faces when they pick "the biggest one" makes me so happy that I gave my kids this wonderful opportunity!  The produce tastes so much better then what you get from the store, did you know that vegetables actually have flavor?  Well you wouldn't really know that unless you had veggies right out of the garden!  I don't know how I ever ate tomatoes from the store, and after being so spoiled all summer it's gunna be hard to go back to store bought stuff.  I'm a little sad that in a few short weeks there will be no more tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini to pick as the weather turns cooler and the plants start to die.  Oh well i guess I'll just have to be ready for the growing season next year! Until then good bye sweet tomatoes and soft zucchini, good bye hot peppers and dirty potatoes, good bye beautiful green broccoli. Good bye.

Boise Id.

The boys at the fish Habitat
Look at all those FISH!!
We decided to go to Boise to see my grandma and we had the best time!!  The boys just adore Uncle Bob he's like one of the coolest guys they know!!!  It was also nice to see my Uncle Greg and Aunt Tina they are so easy to talk to there was never a dull moment and my cousin Diana and her newly betrothed husband!  We obviously started the trip in the car and even before we got on the highway Zakry was asking if we were there yet. . .five hours and 50 are we there yets later we arrived.  It was so good to see my grandma I don't get to see her very much and it makes me sad that my boys don't hardly know her.  She is one of the nicest people I know!!   We all ate dinner together then headed down town to see a fish habitat place it was so much fun watching the boys run from window to window looking at the fish.  The next day we went shopping at the mall and then to the wonderful Boise Zoo it was awesome!!  We were in awe at the tigers, lions, and giraffes.  After the zoo we went back to grandmas for dinner and then I got to watch movies with her while the boys went on a four mile hike with none other then the coolest Uncle Bob any kid could have!!!  I didnt go because I didnt bring my tennis shoes all I had were flip flops I KNOW WHAT WAS I THINKING!! :)  I was happy to be knItting and hanging out with my grandma.  The next day we went to church had family dinner and we were off on our way back home.  It was a great trip!

Jakob's baptism

I can't believe the day has come I'm oficially old and well, very proud. I tear up at every baptism I go too but this was special. I'm so proud of Jakob for making the decision to get baptized. He was so excited he told everyone he knew about it. If he ever ends up reading this blog I want him to know that this was one of the most gratifying days of my life to see my son make such a huge commitment without blinking an eye. He was ready for this day something that I have worried about for eight years. It has been a blessing to Jakob and just as he's been a blessing to me. I love him so much and I am very humbled that Heavenly Father chose me to be his mother. He is such a loving and kind person, and cant help making friends with everyone.

He's a very small guy but what he lacks in hieght he
definitely makes up for in personality. Jakob had his grandparents do most of the program giving talks and saying prayers but he had his cousins Jayda, Jodee, and Rhenley sing a special musical number they sang When I am Baptized it was a wonderful baptism.

Oh and at church the next day when the bishopric announced Jakob as the newest member of our ward they had him stand up but couldn't see him (he's shorter standing then he was sitting on the bench) so Mikah yells out as loud as he can HE'S OVER HERE!! Everyone laughed Rob and I looked at each other smiled then shook our heads it was pretty cute, and very funny!

How do they think of these things anyway?

The other day i was in my bathroom doing my hair when Zakry came in so excited he could hardly even stand it and he said "Mom watch! I can trick my glasses!!!!" so I looked at him and well there are really no words I just started laughing. I mean what can you do when the kid is so darn cute? Anyway before i forgot about it I had him do it for the camera it's not as good but you'll get the general idea. Kids, there would be no life without them. Mine are definitely my life!:)
