Memories

Here is a fun little game (thanks to Sara)... leave a comment on my blog of a memory you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time or a long time. It can be funny, embarrassing, whatever. Anything that you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It is pretty funny to read the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you are playing and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Of Course the Fourth!!!

The fourth of July started out great Rob had to work that day so I got to go shopping even though I had to take the kids my mother -in-law came so it wasn't bad at all. I didn't get very much fun stuff some new sheets for our bed (because Jakob decided to have a nose bleed all over our other ones) new pillows and a couple shirts. The funnest part about shopping was watching the boys get their picture taken at the sketch booth in the middle of the mall. It was hilarious! First of all they were all too short and had to stand on the bench for the camera to see them and second they were all competing for the most camera space they all wanted to be in the front! The end result was funny and just like them! Mikah had a poutey face Zakry had a huge smile but wasn't looking at the camera and Jakob was mostly out of the picture you can see my hand trying to get them all in the right place. . . .like it worked though.

After shopping we went to McDonalds to play in the playplace with Aunt Trisha and Uncle Carson. The boys always think that's fun. We went home after that for naps and to wait for daddy to get home. There were family issues this year so we weren't able to have a BBQ so we got Aunt Tara and went out for BBQ at the new Famous Daves place. It was good! Then it was off to the fireworks show!! Aunt Tara bought all the kids glow sticks so they had fun throwing them and running after them I bought matching 4th clothes for all the boys and was disappointed after the fact that I never got a picture of them all together in them. Sad day right? Anyway the fireworks were fun.

Jakob had fun despite the look on his face in this picture and we very rarely get pictures with all of us in it!!

I thought this was cute Mikah is hiding and Jakob has finally decided it was ok to watch now.

After the show we went back to Aunt Tara's house for sparklers and Goodies. Shmoores as Jakob would call it and yummy cupcakes!!!
It was a very long day and an even later night but we had a blast!!

In memory of Rachel Buch

Grandma passed away in her sleep monday July 7th. We loved her so much. It was such a blessing for us that she was able to spend her last few months in Howard and Janelle's (my father and mother-in-law's) home. We would not have seen her and gotten to know her nearly as well and for that I feel we are truely blessed. Our boys had fun riding on her wheel chair and walker. She thought the world of her grandchildren, and one of her greatest joys was watching her great grandchidren run around. . .literally. She used to tease them and occsionally they would get her to play basketball with them. Some of my fondest memories of her were takeing her to the Olive Garden with the girls (Tara and Trisha), and talking to her about her life over dinner. Although her passing has brought sorrow it has also brought joy to those of us who know that we will see her again and that she has been reunited with her husband and son. We love you Grandma and will always remember your excited and danceing eyes.

Happy Birthday Jakob!!

Jakob's birthday was on the 16th and he had the best party. I think all the kids had a blast! I asked him a couple of weeks before his birthday what kind of party he wanted he said that he wanted to have a water party. At first I thought oh bummer I kinda wanted to have it at our new house, but we don't have a yard yet so a water party at our house just wouldn't be a good idea. So Jakob called his grandpa, Grandpa Grumpy, and asked if he could have it there. Anyway here are some of the pictures from the party.

We got a big blow up water slide for the kids to use. It was everyone's favorite and boy was it BIG!!

The kids loved squirting each other with the water guns hooked on the side of it especially Zakry I got some video of him trying to use it. It was so big for him but he managed. Sorry I didn't know how to flip the movie

It was over 90 degrees outside but when it came time to open presents Jakob was shivering it was so cute!!
Blow the candles out!!

And after everyone left Jakob decided to show us. . . . .

Yes!, his birthday suit. First we saw his swimsuit come flying out and then he started streaking up the slide.....crazy boy!!

Summer Sun

Sorry it's been so long life just gets so......well....LIFE, need i say more? A few weeks back Rob and I took the boys to his annual work party down at the park where there is food and games for a small fee. Anyway we had a blast, and the kids loved it too. Actually watching them was the funnest part.

First we ate... Jakob and Mikah had chicken cut up into nice manageable pieces but Zakry wasn't going to have any of that. He wanted a hamburger and at first i tried to help but then he grabbed it from me, said "my do it" and ate most of it...and it was a big burger!

The food was pretty good.
After we ate we went to the huge blow up slide it was so cute watching Mikah go down he would go up and sit down then inch closer and closer to the side so that he could go down. It took him a little while to build up the courage, but he was determined to go down.

After the slide we went to the bouncy house of coarse they loved that one.....don't all kids?

Bouncing made us tired so we went fishing and played other games for prizes like tattoos, gotta love that huh? anyway the fishing was fun.

Did I mention the fishing was for ducks? Time for treats!!! Zakry had never had a slushy so he was trying to lick it. It was so cute!
Of coarse we couldn't pass up the cotton candy, but boy was it sticky!! Everyone ended up with very messy faces!!

It was a good day.

Matchy Matchy!

I Love this picture of them! They were haveing so much fun!
Okay I know I'm a spaz but sometimes I can't help but put all the boys in the same outfit. It's just so cute and I know I wont be able to do it for long especially because I was blessed wit three boys... so by golly I'll do it while I can!! I was shopping on memorial day at the mall with my mother-in-law and two sister-in-laws Tara and Trisha and low and behold I found a great deal going on at "The childrens Place" I just couldn't pass up these outfits. It took a few days for the weather to warm up enouph to have them wear them but the first day they could I dressed them up and took them to the park for a picnic and to play (really it was just for a photo shoot but why tell them that!!) Anyway I got some really great pictures of them.

Here's some of them eating...Wahwinches. MMM... Eating on the run!

Now time for the cute pictures!

Jakob is such a cheeser and Mikah NEVER smiles for the camera so i was so happy to get one of him smileing!

Well thanks again for boarding the Burch bus....always quite the ride huh?

Memorial Day

Sorry it's been so long between blogs, but with the move and everything, life's been crazy!! Monday was memorial Day and my family and I got together for a BBQ. It was supposed to be a fun evening at the park but not to our surprise it rained. It always rains at stevens family outings. It wasn't just sprinkle either, but all out thunderstorm. Luckily the park was full (yes I said luckily), because it was so full we took a huge pavilion up out of the way from all the people where we could let the kids roam at free will and not worry about one getting kidnapped or something horrible like that. So anyway luckily it was full so we went to the pavilion where we had plenty of protection. We still had fun even though it was raining. None of us were really very prepared for the sudden thunderstorm so we did our best to bundle the kids up. I wish now that I would have gotten a picture of Jakob's outfit it was awesome!! But I didn't take my camera because I couldn't find it yet after the move. I remembered about my phone camera on the way home so I got pictures of the Mikah and Zakry. Zeeky got to wear Angela's furry purple coat,

and Mikah got to wear a baby blanket tied around his neck like superman so he was pretty cool.
Doesn't the look on his face say it all? "Mom I'm cold and wet and tired and now you want to take pictures of me? Give me a break!!!"

I have to say that one of my favorite parts of this whole adventure was on the way home we got to see a double rainbow which is something that I haven't seen in a long long time. It was so beautiful you could hardly look away just in case you never got to see anything like it again. The pictures don't do it justice, you know, they never do.

It was so bright outside Rob couldn't see the road so he had to barrow my sunglasses. He looked so cute in them!!!
