Memorial Day

Sorry it's been so long between blogs, but with the move and everything, life's been crazy!! Monday was memorial Day and my family and I got together for a BBQ. It was supposed to be a fun evening at the park but not to our surprise it rained. It always rains at stevens family outings. It wasn't just sprinkle either, but all out thunderstorm. Luckily the park was full (yes I said luckily), because it was so full we took a huge pavilion up out of the way from all the people where we could let the kids roam at free will and not worry about one getting kidnapped or something horrible like that. So anyway luckily it was full so we went to the pavilion where we had plenty of protection. We still had fun even though it was raining. None of us were really very prepared for the sudden thunderstorm so we did our best to bundle the kids up. I wish now that I would have gotten a picture of Jakob's outfit it was awesome!! But I didn't take my camera because I couldn't find it yet after the move. I remembered about my phone camera on the way home so I got pictures of the Mikah and Zakry. Zeeky got to wear Angela's furry purple coat,

and Mikah got to wear a baby blanket tied around his neck like superman so he was pretty cool.
Doesn't the look on his face say it all? "Mom I'm cold and wet and tired and now you want to take pictures of me? Give me a break!!!"

I have to say that one of my favorite parts of this whole adventure was on the way home we got to see a double rainbow which is something that I haven't seen in a long long time. It was so beautiful you could hardly look away just in case you never got to see anything like it again. The pictures don't do it justice, you know, they never do.

It was so bright outside Rob couldn't see the road so he had to barrow my sunglasses. He looked so cute in them!!!

House Update!!

It's almost ready in fact it is ready we went through our final walkthrough today and I am so excited to move in!! Hopefully it will happen this weekend. Fingers crossed there are some issues with the carpet and how long it will last. We had Howard come and inspect it for us and well it's a factory defect or something because the backing on the carpet is too brittle and it will eventually separate within the next couple years so if we get that cleared up we're good as gold!! Here are the latest pics. I LOVE IT!!!

This is our new address 5501 Kirkwood Lane West Richland Wa

Here is our house after they painted it is a dark gray color called iron horse we really think it looks sharp and pretty soon we'll put up black shutters and it will look so good!

This is our new kitchen cabinet and all!! I can't wait to paint it will make the room feel so much warmer. Cameron and Jaime live here now so they were excited to see our new house.

Zakry thinks he's such a big boy he wanted to go to the bathroom he's trying to convince us that it's absolutely necessary. This is our downstairs powder room and boy do I have plans for it!! Pink plans!!
This is our family room and the picture kinda washes it out a little the carpet is actually a light brown color any way that's most of the downstairs at least. The upstairs tour will have to be another time.

The House

I don't know if everyone knows this but we are building a new house and I can not describe how excited I am to move into my very own first house!! There is so much to do like pack and wait and wait oh and did I mention WAIT!!!I can't hardly stand it. Everything seems like it's takeing forever to get done, but I'm not anxious or anything! So I prolly drive by the house once or twice daily.....yes I said daily but it's all for picture purposes I swear! I can't miss out on a good photo opportunity. The house is built the walls are up and textured and well it actually is starting to really feel like a house!

This is a picture looking from our family room into the kitchen. See what I mean? A house right? Anyway I've got paint colors all picked out and can be found often strolling the "houseing" isles at the store looking for good deals on stuff for my house.

Also it was Janelle's birthday this weekend and the boys were so excited to help her celebrate!!We started off with a good ol mexican feast, we had tacos and a yummy new salad that Janelle learned how to make from a girl at her work and some of that nastey green stuff that I make but don't eat...you know what I'm talking about. So then it came time to open up the presents and Jakob ,Mikah, and Zakry couldn't hardly even stand it! Jakob and Mikah both got grandma cards but Mikah was the hit(he didn't even know it) It had a duck on it and in the middle it said something about a buttquack anyway....she got lots of nice things but I have to say I was so excited for her to open up our present to her. I found it a while ago in an antique shop and I've been holding on to it for her...needless to say I think she liked it.

Of coarse we had to blow out some candles and have cake! The boys helped with that too!

I think that overall everyone enjoyed themselves and had a fun time! Great Grandma Burch loved to watch the boys run around and Carson well he found his own way to amuse himself during the festivities! He would take pictures of his mouth going all crazy. It is pretty funny and watching him do it was entertaining as well!

Anyway until next post thanks for boarding the burch bus.

Oh the joys of motherhood!!

I guess I'm reaching that stage in life you know the "Carting your kid off to practice" stage. The "annoying mother on the sidelines" stage. The "mom i know!" stage. Ya well I guess that's where I am. Jakob just started T-ball for the first time this last week and seems to be one of the most promising kids on the team if I must say so myself! Hey I'm his mom I have bragging rights!!! Just because when we yell run to second from the sidelines and he decides to run towards the ball doesn't mean anything!!! But for real though he has a good arm and can bat so that's gotta count for something! Anyway it's been fun so far watching all the kids play they make me laugh. Well enough of the chit chat already let's see some pictures right?

Here's our little excuse me big slugger up to bat the helmet was so big we had him put his sweatshirt hood up so he wouldn't look so much like chicken little! Hey look mom I made it "CHEESE!"

I Love this picture of Jakob you can see how excited he is as he's running it just brings a huge grin to my face. I mean really can you honestly look at this picture and not smile!
I honestly believe that motherhood is a joy and i could never feel as loved, appriciated okay what world am I in appreciated? Anyway where was I loved, needed, and fullfilled in any other job as I do as a mother.
oh and sorry if this post seems a little rough around the edges it's my first. I'll get better!!
